We are very pleased to welcome Travis Elborough as the second keynote speaker for BRIDGE: The Heritage of Connecting Places and Cultures. Travis is an Author and Cultural Commentator who’s work includes publications such as
- The Bus We Loved, a history of the Routemaster bus
- The Long Player Goodbye, a hymn to vinyl records
- Wish You Were Here, a survey of the British beside the seaside
- and London Bridge in America: The Tall Story of a Transatlantic Crossing.
In his keynote address, Travis will focus on the incredible story of when, just over 50 years ago, the London Bridge was sold and moved brick by brick 5,000 miles across the ocean to be installed in a small town in Arizona.
